The VOC treatment system is an important technical solution for dealing with environmental pollution and protecting human health. The selection of a suitable VOC treatment unit should be based on the concentration of its main components, gas flow, physical and chemical properties while taking into account the economic benefits of the entire treatment process. In addition, emerging composite exhaust treatment technologies in our VOC treatment systems, such as the adsorption-catalytic combustion method, adsorption-photocatalysis method, and low-temperature plasma cooperative photocatalysis technology, are considered important directions for development due to their effective treatment and absence of secondary pollution. Future research will focus on reducing costs, simplifying operations, and improving processing efficiency.
Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers (RTOs) are primarily used in applications where the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are present in low concentrations and in large amounts of exhaust flue gas. They are also highly suitable in cases where the VOCs contain corrosive substances that are toxic to the catalyst and that require high temperatures to oxidize some odor. The RTO uses the heat generated by the decomposition of VOCs to preheat and decompose the untreated VOCs, thereby achieving high thermal efficiency.
